It's great to see the lake so busy! As I write this we have 18 young people on RYA courses, New Forest Sailability are back up and running with sailors out in their Hansa 303s and 2.4m, and many more members are enjoying the warm weather sailing, kayaking and paddleboarding.

Fish and Chip Supper

Our next Fish and Chip Supper will be on Wednesday August 11th (tomorrow)!

You are able to order your food via the club website, and all orders must be placed by 1200 on 11th August. Food will then be pre-ordered from Poulner Fish and Chips and collected at 8.30pm, a perfect way to end an evening of racing! Please remember after selecting your order to continue to the checkout to pay, otherwise the office won't see your order!

Blashford Barrel Funday!

After the success of last year's Blashford Barrel Regatta with a treasure hunt, paddleboarding/kayking races and sailing races we are aiming to run a bigger and better event this year!

You can read all about what you can get up to on the website here, and there are even some opportunities for our younger members to get out racing with some of our more experienced racers in Fireflys!

Ladies Sailing

Our next block of Ladies Sailing is now open for booking! You can see more details on our website here.

We will be running beginner, improver and advanced groups on Thursday mornings, and are making plans for what we can offer after October as well!

Parkstone Youth Week

It's great to hear so many of our SYT Sailors are starting to adventure elsewhere and take part in events at other clubs. This week several are at Parkstone Youth Week, we hope to see lots of photos of what they get up to!

Guest Wi-Fi

After many frustrating communications with BT our new internet connection was activated this morning! Apart from the office computers already seeming to run quicker, it also means we now have Wi-Fi available for members again! Look for "BT_Guest_Wi-Fi" on your laptop or device!

What To Do After You've Learnt to Sail!

We've had a lot of new members join the club recently, and it's great seeing so many learn to sail on our RYA Courses. One of the most common questions we get asked is, "what should I do after this course?"

Earlier this year we wrote an article for the club website about all the different things you can do at Spinnaker Sailing Club once you have learnt the basics, and you can find it here. There are many options including Spinnaker Youth Training which restarts on Saturday 11th September!

We are just finalising our staffing plans for SYT, and more details will be sent out next week, with booking opening soon after!
