Ladies Sailing 2021 Block 3 » Week 1

Our regular Ladies Sailing Sessions are always popular, because they're friendly and fun! Split into 3 groups dependent upon the time of year we can find a group to suit you from beginner to advanced! These sessions run in blocks of 6 weeks on Thursday mornings. We meet at 10.30 changed into sailing clothes, with our boats ready to go!

Beginners: This group is for those of you who have done little or no sailing before! We'll teach you the basics so you can get out on the lake and enjoy yourself! We'll look at rigging (putting the boat together), controlling the power, how to turn around, and all the basic safety information you need to know to enjoy yourself!

Intermediates: This group is ideal for those of you who have a little bit more experience, either your RYA Level 1 or 2, or have been part of our Ladies Sailing Beginners Group! We'll look at refining your existing skills, and introducing some new ones such as the basics of racing, or an introduction to sailing double handed boatys with two sails! (Covid dependent)

Advanced: For those of you with a bit more experience who are looking to take your sailing as far as possible! We'll look at a variety of techniques and skills depending on what you want to learn including more advanced race tactics, roll tacking and gybing, and dependent upon Covid Sailing with Spinnakers as well!
