    Wednesday Evening B series and Pursuit completed

    In 'summer' conditions on Wednesday August 19 th , the 10 evening Portsmouth Yardstick (PY) series and the ever-popular Pursuit series completed with the Burns family as race officials. In the PY race 50 crews in a great variety of single and double handed boats competed at various times. Keith McQuillin, Laser, sailed a blinder and had the luxury of discarding a first place.     Weekly News - 18th August

    It's scary to think we are half way through August already! So much has been going on at the lake and it's great to see so many new members enjoying the water, and lots of new boats in the boat park!     Weekly Club News - 10th August

    It's great to see the lake so busy! As I write this we have 18 young people on RYA courses, New Forest Sailability are back up and running with sailors out in their Hansa 303s and 2.4m, and many more members are enjoying the warm weather sailing, kayaking and paddleboarding.     Summer Sunday race series results - Next series starts!

    Sunday July 18 th saw the Summer Sunday Portsmouth Yardstick and the ever popular Pursuit series completed. These series comprised 7 pursuit races and 14 for the Portsmouth Yardstick (PY) series. 36 crews entered the pursuit for the faster craft and encouragingly 20 for the slower fleet.     Mike Dray wins Solo Open

    Our Solo Open was attended by 12 boats, with Spinnaker welcoming travellers from Littleton, Highcliffe and Lymington, including old friends. The day was cold and overcast with a light force 2-3 Easterly breeze forecast in practice the breeze was a little more Northerly at the start of the day, which probably accounted for the temperature, despite midsummer being imminent.     Memorial Race 9th June 2021

    The Club is proud to support MacMillan Caring Locally and every year the tenth Wednesday evening pursuit race is dedicated to the Macmillan charity.The winner is awarded the Geoff Fardell Trophy, named after a previous Rear Commodore Houseand given to the Club by his widow, Competitors are asked to donate to Macmillan Local Care.
