Hiring Club Boats

You can book any of our boats available for hire by clicking here.

Club boats are all available for hire by all eligible members. This service is provided to enable members without boats access to the lake, and to allow those with their own boats to try different classes. Most boats are kept by the race hut.

Club Boats may be booked by members using their website login, and using the "Book Online" section. The fee per session for use of the Club boats is low in order to encourage participation. Please do not book craft more than 24 hours in advance to ensure the forecasted weather is suitable for your ability. On arrival at the Club to use a booked craft please speak to the Duty Senior Instructor who will inform you of which craft to use.

As these craft are heavily used occasionally pieces of equipment will break. Please report all breakages to the office at the earliest opportunity so that it can be rectified.

All members are required to use their own Buoyancy Aid whilst hiring craft for recreational use.

Dinghies are priced at £20 for half a day, Stand Up Paddleboards are £5 per hour, and the Sit On Top Kayaks are £5 per hour.

Please note that there are some restrictions on the use of some of these boats:

The Laser Stratos is for use by the Training Centre only which retains priority of all boats.

The Club retains the right to cancel any pre-booked hire or enforce reefing should the prevailing weather conditions require these actions.

Damage to craft due to un-seamanlike behaviour will result in a charge for the full cost of repair.
