Which Membership Would Suit You?
At Spinnaker Sailing Club we have a variety of membership types on offer, and we think there is something available for everyone! Further down this page there is a price list for our different membership types, along with a table setting out in detail what you can do with each form of membership. Alternatively please feel free to get in touch with us by phone or email and our team can offer you advice on what options may suit you. You are of course welcome to visit us in person as well for a face to face chat and look around the Club.
Annual Memberships - Dinghy sail, windsurf, kayak and paddleboard all year for great value
Our Annual Memberships run from 1st January to 31st December each year. Annual Membership allows the greatest access and use of the club facilities and programme including our instructor led training activities, racing, social sailing, and equipment hire; whilst also providing the best value month to month. As an annual member you can also store your boat, kayak or canoe on site all year for a small extra fee.
Pay As You Go Memberships - Become a member for just a few months at the time of year you want to
Our flexible "Pay As You Go Monthly" memberships are designed for the more casual sailor or paddler, where you pay for your membership on a monthly basis with a minimum commitment of 3 months, as opposed to the full calendar year! The Pay As You Go option is great for those new to watersports, or who will only use the facilities here at Spinnaker Sailing Club for a few months a year. As a Pay As You Go Member you can do almost everything you can with an Annual Membership, but there is no option to store equipment on site.
Training Memberships - Take part in RYA courses, regular sailing opportunities and join in with social sailing.
Our Training Membership, allows individuals and families to join for a reduced fee, to access our instructor led activities such as training courses or Social Sailing. Please be aware that Training Membership provides far less access to our facilities and offering than our other forms of membership, but is a fantastic way to try out the watersports we offer here at Spinnaker Sailing Club.
Winter Memberships - Keep active through the winter
Our Winter Memberships which run from 1st October to 31st March the following year, and are ideal for those sailors from club's whose sailing programmes stop over the winter, or who can not store boats on site during the winter months. As a Winter Member you can join in with any of our club activities that are happening during your membership, and store your boat with us for a small extra fee.
Once you know which membership type is for you, then just decide which of the following membership options suits you best: an Adult (for those over 26), Young Adult (for those who are 17 - 25), Family (2 adults plus the children 16 or under of the household) or Junior (for those 16 and under). Don't worry if you're not sure, our staff team are happy to answer any questions you may have to ensure we match you to your perfect membership. If you start as a Training or Pay As You Go Member you can always change to an Annual Membership at any time!
Please be aware we do not accept individual junior members, they must have an associated full Adult Member sponsoring them.
