Our Mission Statement
Our Purpose
Spinnaker Sailing Club exists to promote and encourage participation in sailing and related water sports.
Our Values
At its heart, Spinnaker Sailing Club is a family sailing club in the New Forest. Our unique location on a beautiful but accessible lake makes our Club a fantastic place to get afloat. We are run for the benefit of our members, and believe the more that is placed into the Club, the more that can be gained. Our members work together to ensure Spinnaker Sailing Club is an active and vibrant community.
We welcome anyone to join the Club irrespective of age, gender, ethnicity or sexual orientation; and through our associated club New Forest Sailability: disability need be no barrier to sailing.
Spinnaker Sailing Club works alongside other organizations, including Wessex Water, English Nature, New Forest Sailabilty and Christchurch Angling Club. We strive to maintain good relationships with the many stakeholders that we interact with, so that we may continue to provide an exceptional experience on the water, and care for the area of outstanding natural beauty our Club is located on.
Our Principles
Spinnaker Sailing Club's elected management committee runs the Club with a view to its long term viability, protecting the Club's assets and minimising risks.
We recognise that water sports will always carry some risk, and will ensure that the safety of our members and staff is paramount at all times.
We believe that skills learned at the Club are transferable and useful in life.
We will promote the acquisition of sailing and related skills. We aim to foster friendliness and cooperation that encourages the acquisition of skills and participation in sailing and related sports.
