Spinnaker winter ePairs Virtual Team Racing
When: on 7 February at 11:00
Races will be in the Star using the short course.
Entry by 23:59 on Friday 5 February.
Teams of 2 to enter by emailing laser@spinnakerclub.co.uk and providing details of the team.
Sailors without a pairing should email and will be paired wherever possible with other unpaired sailors.
Pairs should attempt (if possible) to select Stars with the same colour sails (this may require one or both sailors to have blue tokens).
Racing will be administered through the Spinnaker Discord. Join by following the link:
Discord offers the opportunity to have an on-line video link, to do 'all person' bulletins and to communicate individually or in groups with each other.
The provisional schedule of races will be posted on Discord when sorted on Saturday. Changes may need to account for any late changes to entries.
Races will be called 'Spinny Team #nn'
Entry to races will be using existing entry code followed by the race number #nn. A reminder of codes will be sent in the response to your entry.
Pairs racing is scored as 'last boat loses'. The team who have 4th place will lose. The other team will win. The event winner will be the team with the most race wins. If teams are tied, the winner will be determined by the results of the race(s) in which the teams met.
Only the schedules sailors should enter the race. The race officer will also enter the race and stay out the way leaving the race once it is underway.
The aim will be to finish racing at 12:30.
