Let's Go Sailing Block 1 - Week 3

Let's Go Sailing is our programme of training and opportunities for adult members to get afloat on Tuesday evenings! We have several groups on offer, all focussed around helping people go sailing and develop their skills in a fun and relaxed environment!

We have an Adult Learn to Sail group, for adults who either have no experience of sailing or are very new to sailing! One of our qualified instructors will teach and guide you through your introduction to the great world of sailing! This activity runs for 6 weeks, and is booked in a block. Please book onto week 1 and this reserves your space for all 6 weeks!

Adult Improver Sailing is open to any of our members with some previous sailing experience. One of our qualified instructors will teach and guide you as you develop your sailing skills! We will look at a variety of topics/skills all aimed at giving you the confidence to sail more, and show you what you could do with your sailing such as coming alongside, better launching/landing, basic racing skills and more! This activity runs for 6 weeks, and is booked in a block. Please book onto week 1 and this reserves your space for all 6 weeks!

New for 2024 we will be running an RYA Sailing with Spinnakers course during block 1! We will work through the RYA Sailing with Spinnakers syllabus to teach you to rig, hoist, set, gybe and drop an asymmetric spinnaker to help get you even more speed around our lake. We will also touch on the strategy and tactics of using a spinnaker around the race course. Please book onto week 1 and this reserves your space for all 6 weeks!

For all these groups we will provide boats, however, if you have your own boat and wish to use it for Adult Improvers you are welcome to!
