RYA Youth Seamanship Skills and Sailing with Spinnakers (5 Days)
If you have completed your RYA Youth Sailing Stage 4 and want to learn how to do more with a double handed boat then this course will allow you to gain many more new skills.
In the RYA Seamanship Skills course we will look at skills which improve our general sailing and understanding of the boat, as well as help us out if we ever get into trouble! This includes sailing backwards, sailing without a rudder, reefing afloat and how to recover a man overboard.
The RYA Sailing with Spinnakers course is all about using the spinnaker, the third sail at the front of the boat! We will teach you how to hoist, gybe and drop the spinnaker whilst gaining great speed going downwind.
This course is for children aged 8 and over with some experience of sailing since gaining their RYA Youth Stage 4 certificate.
Spinnaker Sailing Club Training Course Fees:
- 5 Day Courses - £330 per person
- 2 Day Courses - £175 per person
To take part in any activities at Spinnaker Sailing Club you must be a member. We have a range of membership options available To take part in training courses our cheapest option is either an Individual or Training Membership for as little as £30 a year!
