Spinnaker Sailing Club Race Camp

Our Annual Race Camp is back, and bigger and better than ever! There are two options for when you book on this year, either join our RYA Start Racing Course if you are new to racing, or for the more experienced join our Race Coaching group.

Anyone who books onto our Race Camp gets free entry to our Summer Youth Regatta on Saturday 13th August!

RYA Youth Start Racing:

If you liked the racing you did in your RYA Stage 3 course then this 5 day course will give you the skills to race to the front! Our Royal Yachting Association qualified instructors will help you develop your race starts, tactics and knowledge of the rules along with other skills to make you a better racer.

This course is for children aged 8 and over with some experience of sailing since completing their RYA Youth Stage 3 certificate.

Race Coaching

We will look at honing your race skills, technique and knowledge to take you to the next level. Drawing on the expertise of our coaches we will look at all aspects of racing from pure boat speed, starting, tactics, strategy, rules and boat preperation! Depending on the level of interest, boats being used and experience of sailors we may split down into smaller groups to offer the best coaching experience possible. For this group you need your own boat, or you can hire one of the club ones!
