Welcome back.

We are delighted that James Oborne has returned to work today. He has a big backlog to catch up with so please try not to overload him with emails and be patient if he is a bit slow in replying. We owe a big thank you to the rest of the team led by Neil Franklin and Graham Stones, our Training Centre Principal, for stepping up while James was off work.

Club Regatta and Double Handed Event.

The Club Regatta is taking place this Sunday, 21st July. We will be running the Double Handed event that we had to postpone earlier this month as part of the regatta, with separate starts and prizes for the Double Handers. The briefing for the event is at 12 noon and the first of four 25 minute races will start at 12:30. There will be a shore based break between race 2 and 3. The race officer is Tom Clay so we are assured of a great day on the water. Prize giving will be at 16:30.

Racing news.

The Sunday Summer Series finished on 14th July. Full results are available on the website. Hopefully all the participants had a great time and we all send our thanks to the race teams who made the racing possible. The Late Summer Series will start on Sunday 28th . The Wednesday series are continuing and remain very popular.

Weedboat.

Fortunately the weeds are not tootroublesome at the moment, probably due to the dull weather that we have had recently. However, the weedboat will soon need to be in action. We have quite a small pool of people qualified to operate the boat and are keen to recruite new operators. If you are already powerboat qualified and would like to be trained to use this unusual craft please email the office

Work party

The site is looking really trim after Ian Matthews lead a volunteer team on Saturday. They christened the new lawn mower and did a lot of clearing and tidying. Thank you for all your hard work.

Friday Clubnight.

Reluctantly because of our recent staff shortages we have had to cancel the club nights on Friday 19th and 26th July. We are actively recruiting new instructors and hope to restart the club nights in August. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
