Spinnaker Youth Training Returns This Weekend

This Sunday Spinnaker Youth Training returns for 2025. It's going to be a great start to the season with 30 young sailors signed up, the most we've had since 2019!

All parents with sailors booked on should have received an email last night with more details about the training.

Discover Sailing Open Day

On Monday 5th May we will be running a Discover Sailing Open Day as we did last year! We will be offering free dinghy sailing tasters throughout the day and have our kayaks and paddleboards available for use!

Supported Racing - Sundays

We have recently had a few requests from members for some extra support to help them start racing. Due to a change in our bookings we are able to confirm we will have an instructor in a rib to provide coaching and support to newer sailors who are racing on the below Sundays:
27th April, 11th May, 18th May.

See Sailing Your Way

Working in conjunction with RYA Sailability, Blind Sailing UK and New Forest Sailability we are very excited to be running See Sailing Your Way at Spinnaker Sailing Club this year! Over 15 weeks we have an opportunity for visually impaired individuals to learn to sail in a tailored, welcoming environment, with support to continue sailing beyond this programme for those who wish to continue sailing.

Over 15 weeks we are running two learn to sail courses exclusively for visually impaired individuals, and 3 one-off sessions to consolidate sailing skills once individuals have learnt to sail.

Upcoming Race Duties

We are currently still looking for help in running racing on several Sundays in the next few weeks - in particular we are looking for an ARO for Sunday 4th May, and a Race Officer and Assistant Race Officer for Sunday 11th May. On Wednesday 11th May we are also in need of several volunteers. If you can help please volunteer via our website.
