There's Only Two More Wednesdays of Evening Racing This Year!

As autumn advances we sadly only have two more evenings of racing planned for Wednesdays this year. After racing next week we will be having a short prizegiving to celebrate some of our recent racing, and fish & chips.

Look out for an email on Monday with all the details.

SUP Inflator Is Working Again

Our electric paddleboard inflator is back in action! We are working to get the pressure washer back in action as well at the washdown station, but for now the compressor is working and the hose is still available for washing down boats if they are leaving the club for an adventure elsewhere.

Lake Weed

Thank you to everyone who helped out this weekend with weed removal/composting. Without a team effort it is impossible for us as a club to manage the floating weed we get in the lake. Please remember any weed removed from the lake on the bank near the water for 24 hours before composting to allow any aquatic life to move back into the lake. (This also has the benefit of making the weed lighter before loading it into the wheelbarrow).

Autumn Work party - Save The Date

On 10th October we will be holding our Autumn Work Party, where we ask as many members as possible to give up a little bit of their time to help maintain our club grounds through weeding, cutting hedges, strimming grass and other maintenance tasks.

Look out for more details nearer the day!

Upcoming Open Meetings

We have a busy October looming with three open meetings!
Twisted Tube 17th October - Random Pairs Team Racing in Fireflys!
Firefly Open Meeting 18th October
Optimist Open Meeting 24th October

All three are great days of racing, and club boats are available to use for all 3 as well! For more information about the Twisted Tube or Firefly Open please speak to Ed Morris, or for the Optimist Open speak to James Oborne.

How to Stay In Touch

Don't forget a really good way to stay in touch with other members is our Whatsapp Community, there are different groups within the community for each of our main classes, as well as the SYT Parents Group and a Kayaking/Paddleboarding Group.
