Fish Spawning

Please be aware we are expecting the carp we share the lake with to being spawning in the next couple of weeks. In the run up to this natural part of their life cycle we will see more fish in the shallows and jumping out of the water. When the fish spawn they tend to thrash around spectacularly in the shallows, and it is quite a sight! Please do not worry for the fish, this is normal behaviour. If you do witness a fish thrashing in the shallows, please leave it in peace to give birth, it doesn't require any help beyond that.

Warm Weather

It has been fantastic to finally have some proper summer weather with warm, dry days! Please make sure you are looking after yourselves in this heat including slipping on a tshirt, slapping on a hat and slopping on some sunscreen!

Don't forget we have the water dispenser in the clubhouse for refilling drinks bottles so you can stay hydrated.

Paddleboard Inflator

As part of our new washdowns station Wessex Water kindly provided us with an electric paddleboard pump, this is located inside the green cabinet at the end of the wash pad. Instructions are inside the door (the third sheet down for the inflator). If you need an further assistance please ask a member of staff.

Spinnaker Youth Training Block 2

Block 1 of Spinnaker Youth Training has now finished! Fantastic progress has been made by all the sailors in this block. We then have no SYT running on the weekend's in May Half Term, before SYT Block 2 starts on Sunday 7th June!

How to Stay In Touch

Don't forget a really good way to stay in touch with other members is our Whatsapp Community, there are different groups within the community for each of our main classes, as well as the SYT Parents Group and a Kayaking/Paddleboarding Group.
