Windy Weekend

Well that was a windy weekend! Sadly due to the forecast the decision was taken to cancel all racing. We try to make these decisions as late as possible to allow the best opportunity for these events to run. The good news is that our October half-term RYA courses started yesterday and are going well!

Mark A Will Be Back Soon

Thanks to Ed Morris new ground tackle and chain has been sourced and assembled for Mark A, once the current windy weather calms down A will be put back in place on the lake ready for use!

Winter Is Coming!

We are rapidly heading towards the cooler part of the year, which will make some of our members very excited as more blustery conditions are arriving! November brings a few changes every year to the club which we wanted to make everyone aware of, these are:
- From the 1st November to 21st March anyone afloat (not including in a powerboat) must wear either a wetsuit or drysuit, for full details of the requirements please see our Bylaws.
- As our on-water activities quieten down we may not have staff on site on Fridays and Saturdays, meaning there will be no club equipment available to hire on these days.
- As it gets darker please remember that we must be off the water by sunset each day.

Don't forget from this Sunday our racing starts at 10am!

RYA and BUSA Women's Team Racing National Championships

We are once again this year hosting the Women's Team Racing National Championships, two fantastic days of close quarters racing! To help us deliver this event we are looking for a number of volunteers. No experience is necessary as we can provide support and training.

You can see more information about the event here.

How to Stay In Touch With Other Members

Don't forget a really good way to stay in touch with other members is our Whatsapp Community, there are different groups within the community for each of our main classes, as well as the SYT Parents Group and a Kayaking/Paddleboarding Group.
