Discover Sailing Open Day
On Monday 5th May we will be running a Discover Sailing Open Day as we did last year! We will be offering free dinghy sailing tasters throughout the day and have our kayaks and paddleboards available for use!
You can see more details here, please share with your friends and family!
We would also welcome anyone who would like to volunteer to support the day, for more details of how you can help please speak to James.
Fish & Chips - Wednesday 7th May
Wednesday 7th May sees our first after racing fish & chips evening of the year! Come and join us for two races, and then fish & chips will be delivered to the club just after 8pm. The bar will be open, with a range of drinks available including soft drinks and alcohol free lager!
Look out for an email on Monday 5th May with a link to order your food.
Club Workshop
We are fortunate to have a club workshop to keep our fleet of craft running, and provide our maintenance services to members (we have our first Solo due in for repairs later this week). Whilst in the past tools have been lent out to members when they are working on their own boats, this will not be permitted going forwards. Unfortunately a number of tools have gone missing and we need to make sure no more equipment goes missing/is broken.
Club Staffing News
Those of you who were at the club this weekend (and over the Easter holidays) may have noticed a number of new instructors! Robbie and Bede who have worked for us over the last two years have returned to work on a part time basis meanwhile Amy, Ridley, Max, Jas and Lewis have joined the team for this year!
We are also very excited that Bede will be joining us on a full time basis from July after his exams finish.
ILCA Open
Our annual ILCA Open Meeting is running on Saturday 17th May. You can see more details and enter here!
