New Junior Race Bibs!

As a recently appointed RYA Pathway Club, and thanks to funding from the British Youth Sailing Team we now have 15 Spinnaker Sailing Club branded race bibs for our juniors to wear when they are racing and representing our club! They'll be out for the first time this weekend at the Regional Junior Championships in Weymouth where a number of our Optimist and Topper sailors will be competing.

Memorial Race Donations

We have been made aware of an issue with the donations page for those who wished to donate after the event. We have updated the website and you will be able to donate here until Wednesday evening.

Scrap Metal Collection

Don't forget that we have a scrap metal collection on Monday, so if you have any old spars you need to get rid of please make sure they are added to the pile by Monday morning, speak to James or Neil for more details.

Race Duties

We have a number of upcoming race duties that still need covering. Please volunteer via the Duty Roster.

Club Shop and Boat Repairs

Don't forget our club shop stocks a range of rope, parts and fixings to help keep our members' boats running! Our staff team are happy to provide advice on the most suitable equipment for your boat, and if what you need isn't held in stock we may be able to get it in on a special order for you!

If you need help with any practical skills please do ask. Our team have lots of experience and just this week have helped a number of people out with splicing and spar and hull repairs.

Lake Weed

This weekend we had our first few boats of the season snag some weed in the lake! We have our weed boat ready to scoop and remove any rafts which do form. If you do see the weed boat operating on the lake please give it a wide berth, it is relatively slow and cumbersome with limited manoeuvrability and has a metal rake operating beneath the water.
