Boiler Servicing - Friday 6th June
On Friday 6th May our boiler is being serviced (it was meant to happen last week but didn't due to unforeseeable circumstances). Due to the boiler being located just inside the entrance to our female changing rooms this may cause some minor disruption. We apologise for the inconvenience in advance.
Memorial Race and Fish and Chips
Wednesday 11th June is our annual Memorial Race in aid of Macmillan Caring Locally, and our next fish & chips night!
The final race of the Wednesday A Series will run at 17:45 as usual, before the Memorial Race gets going at 18:53. After racing fish & chips will be delivered to the club and we will have a short prizegiving. Look out for an email next Monday with details of how to book your food.
Paddling Away Day!
Join us for a paddling trip on 16 August, set in the scenic surroundings of the River Frome near Wareham. This event promises a combination of adventure, relaxation, and natural beauty as we paddle together into Poole Harbour.
Our journey will begin at the Redcliffe Farm slipway, which is part of the campsite. This launch point offers easy access to the river and is conveniently located for campers. Launching is free if you are camping, £5 per boat / board (including car parking) otherwise
Our paddling adventure will take us down on the tide into Poole Harbour, with the tide bringing us back upstream a couple of hours later. Additionally, we can explore up to Wareham and beyond, offering a varied experience of the river's charm. There is a slip at Wareham and riverside pubs for lunch. All are welcome in canoes, kayaks or paddleboards.
We will offer club paddleboards and sit-on-tops for a nominal rental fee (£5).
Let's Go Sailing - Block 2
Our Tuesday evening Let's Go Sailing sessions restart on 10th June! We still have a few spaces left on our improvers group if you would like to join in.
You can see more details and book here.
Lake Weed
Those of you who have been on safety boats recently may have noticed that the weed is growing at the bottom of the lake again. Can we please ask all powerboat rivers to recover any weed which is lifted up by marks and anchors into their powerboat, to then be disposed of ashore. This will help prevent it getting in the way of dinghies sailing!
