In mild sunny, mid-range wind conditions the 9 race/ 3 Sunday Alice Lisle series has completed. The series experienced a good mix of wind strength and direction testing the sailors.
39 competitors made it to the start line. In the adult fleet 7 race winners are congratulated. Overall the title is taken by Ian Matthews in the solo, with Ian Hickman (Laser Radial) second, Jon Crosser (full Laser) 3rd and Tom Clay (Firefly) fourth.
In the junior fleet, Lewis wins in the Oppy, followed by Ava Laser and Jessica and Jack in toppers.
The Spinnaker fleet has real diversity of craft, and most recently joined by a Scorpion, Albacore and Europe.
We've just held our Wednesday race season kick off and a key message here is 'get involved'. There are lots of people keen to help, lots of race formats and club craft available to hire too.
Full results are available under the Sailwave tab.
As the weather warms, Wednesday sees the start of the Yardstick race at 1745 followed by the ever-popular pursuit race at 1900. Then Easter Sunday sees a special day of races with Jonathan Burns and family as race marshalls.
