Fish and Chips on Wednesday!
This Wednesday is a Fish and Chips Night!
We will be arranging to collect Fish and Chips to be at the club for 8.30pm after racing. The bar will also be open after racing for drinks.
Food must be pre-ordered by 1200 on Wednesday 10th May via the link below:
Car Parking
With the weather beginning to warm up (with warmer, sunnier days now here) the club feels like it is coming out of the quieter winter period with lots more members making use of our facilities.
We love seeing the Club so busy, however at times this does mean our carpark gets busier. Can we please ask all our members and users to park in such a way that it allows everyone to enjoy the site as much as possible. A few things we ask to help in this are:
- Never park a vehicle in a boat berth, or blocking a boat or slipway
- Park close to other cars so we can fit as many onsite as possible
- Consider the length of your vehicle and park so that it doesn't obstruct others from parking/leaving
RYA Training Courses
The May Half Term is rapidly approaching and we have RYA Sailing courses planned to cater for all ages! These are bookable via the calendar page on our website and include an RYA Youth Stage 1 & 2, RYA Youth Stage 3 & 4, and RYA Adult Level 1.
Spinnaker Youth Training Block 2
Block 2 of Spinnaker Youth Training is now open for booking! This block starts on Sunday 11th June. Please note that on Sunday 18th June we will not be running the SYT Begin to Race or Improver Racing groups. This is because it is the weekend of the Regional Junior Championships and we are encouraging all sailors within these groups to attend that event!
You can find out more information about the Regional Junior Championships here, or speak to James Oborne or Emma Barker. At the last count at least 17 Spinnaker sailors had booked into the event, with most of us also booked in at the same campsite!
You can book onto Block 2 here.
How To Stay In Touch

Racing Duties
Many of us have had lots of fun racing recently, and it has been fantastic to have such great support from our members in delivering this important part of our programme.
Can we please remind all members that they should turn up at least 1 hour before the start of racing if they are the Race Officer, or 45 minutes before for all other duties.
If you have any questions about Race Duties please speak to a member of the Sailing Committee.
