Completion of Sunday Spring series

The torrid 'spring' conditions of Sunday 23 May drew to a close three Sunday series.
In the popular Pursuit format race for which 35 boats entered at various times, after 5 races Thomas in the Laser wins, closely followed by Keith, Gabby and Andy all in Lasers too. So this series went the way of the Lasers who were out in force.
In the slower pursuit race Max (Topper) wins, beating Christine (Topper), Charlotte and Jasmine (Feva) and Ava (Topper) and Jason (Zest) who tie for 4th. Well sailed all in this revised 45 minute maximum format.
In the Spring Portsmouth Yardstick afternoon series of 10 races, Ed (Solo) wins from a fleet of 37 starters. Jonathan (Aero) and Ian Hickman (Laser) put up strong competition with Russ (Laser) in 4th.
All of these series were sailed in highly variable conditions so congratulations all sailors and race officials.

Sunday 30th May has a special Bank Holiday event of a Pursuit Race followed by a one day sprint Series of 3 races - for which currently a sunny day is forecast.
