icicle Series completes

Spinnaker's Icicle series has just completed.
This series running through December and January, was new for 2021/2. It was a pilot for test interest in all-year sailing the deal being that all sailors undertaking a race duty to make it happen.
Interest level has been high and the crews have experienced a range of mild weather / moderate breezes, to the expected 'icicle' of light airs and cooler feet and fingers seen in the last two race days.
Congratulations all competitors from a whole variety of craft including lasers, toppers, solos, fireflies and even the exotic scorpion. Thanks to all race hut and particularly on the water safety cover.
To the results a committed junior/ slower craft fleet has Jasmine, Matthew, Jessica and Olivia all having wins - and overall its Matthew (Laser Radial & Topper), Chloe and Jessica as top 3.
26 entries for the senior/ faster fleet has Ian Matthews in the solo at the front. Strongly contending too are Keith McQuillin (Laser) and a late push from Tom Clay in the Firefly.

After a break of a couple of weeks whilst the lake is used for training, Wessex Warmer and Uni use, racing resumes as the Frostbite series on Sunday February 13th.
