Fish and Chips This Wednesday
This Wednesday is a Fish and Chips Night! We will be arranging to collect Fish and Chips to be at the club for 8.30pm after racing. The bar will also be open after racing for drinks. Food must be pre-ordered by 1200 on Wednesday 19th July via the link below

Solo Pontoon Damage
In the windy weather of last weekend the Northern or "Solo" pontoon unfortunately sustained some damage to it's connections to the shore. We are working to rectify this as soon as possible. However, in the meantime please do not go on this pontoon under any circumstances.
Upgrades to Rib 1 and 2
Rib 2 was in the workshop last week for some upgrades including a new automatic bilge pump and a hydrofoil! The hydrofoil has been tested this week and it has massively reduced the wash from the Rib when operating at displacement speeds. One effect of this new hydrofoil is that even less of the boat hull is in contact with the water at planing speeds, and therefore care must be exercised when turning at planing speeds (e.g. to attend a boat in need of urgent assistance) as the boat will grip the water less than previously.
Rib 1 is now in the workshop for the same additions.

On Saturday 2nd September we have our annual Optimist Open Meeting.

On Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th November our ever popular Firefly Weekend returns with the Twisted Tube Random Pairs Team Racing on the Saturday with a dish and chips social in the evening before our Firefly Open Meeting on the Sunday!
