Our First RYA Windsurf Course!

This week our programme of RYA Training courses for the summer holidays has started, including our very first RYA Youth Stage 1 & 2 Windsurfing Course!

We still have a few spaces left on our RYA courses this summer so why not sign up now! If you would like any advice about which course is most suitable for you or your children please speak to James or Neil.

Parkstone Youth Week 2023!

Saturday sees the start of Parkstone Youth Week 2023, with 14 of our youth members taking part! We have sailors in Optimists, Toppers and ILCAs, with lots of parents also supporting the event.

As a club we are very proud of our young people who take part in events like these and are continuing our tradition of supporting young sailors in starting to race! To support participants this year our Youth Development Fund has paid for a Luton Van to help transport boats, one club Optimist has been loaned to one of our newer SYT Sailors for the week to allow him to take part and one of our RIBs is being used as a safetyboat for the week as well. As always our families have been fantastically supportive of one another in helping to get each other's children afloat with sails being loaned to allow Topper sailors to compete in the 4.2 fleet, and the usual teamwork to help get all the children fed and organised while some parents are afloat!

Social Sailing Opportunities

We've recently had a few members asking when they can sail knowing that there is a safetyboat on hand! Apart from our racing (on Sunday afternoons and Wednesday evenings) we have safetyboats manned by instructors available to support our Thursday morning Social Sailing (all year), Sunday morning Youth Social Sailing (July and August only) and Friday Club Nights (June, July, August only).

Blashford Barrel and Summer Prizegiving!

Sunday 27th August sees our annual Blashford Barrel Family Day, with Summer Prizegiving and BBQ!

We are planning a treasure hunt in the morning, with dinghy racing in the afternoon, before a prizegiving for our Summer Sunday Race Series, and a bring your own food BBQ, where the Main Committee will cook it for you!
