2022 Winter Prizegiving
It was brilliant to see so many members turn out to celebrate the success' of our sailors this year on Sunday!
Our Winter Prizegiving saw the winners of our Autumn and Winter Series receive their trophies (well done Andy, James, Lewis and Jack) as well as our Club Champions (well done Keith, Jonathan, Ava and Jas)! We also awarded our annual prizes such as the Ladies Cup, Firefly Crews Cup, Top Optimist and Improver Optimist awards.
A full list of all awards from 2022 can be seen here.
A big thanks to John Driscoll for all his work cross the season in calculating and publishing our race results and looking after our prizes. John's hardwork over several years has been recognised by the Main Committee and this year he is the recipient of the Bill Bacon Award for an Outstanding Contribution.
If you weren't able to attend the prizegiving and have won something please speak to Neil or James in the office and they will get your prize to you!
Junior Team Racing Training - 11th December Cancelled

We hope to have enough sailors to run the session in January, booking is open for this session now!

Our 2023 training programme is also available either on the club website calendar, or as a PDF download here.
We are very excited about what 2023 not just for the sailing, kayaking, paddlebparding and powerboating we have run in previous years, but also our latest watersport of windsurfing! The Club has invested in new windsurf boards and sails and is looking forward to offering these for hire, as well as RYA Windsurf courses in 2023! Look out for more news soon!
2023 Renewals!
All members should have received an email yesterday regarding renewing Annual Memberships for 2023. The entire renewals process can be done online, and there is a discount on 2023 fees if you renew by 31st January 2023!
If you have any difficulties in renewing or would like to amend your membership please contact Neil either on 01425 483692 or admin@spinnakerclub.co.uk Please be aware Neil's office working hours are 0900-1630 Monday to Wednesday and 1300-1600 on Sundays.
Replacement of Paddleboards
In 2020 the Club bought it's first 10 paddleboards. Due to the popularity of this activity, and our new offering of windsurfing, we are replacing some of these boards with new ones. This means in the near future we will be selling 6 of our Fatstick Paddleboards!
Each board will come with pump, paddle, bag, fins, repair kit and leash! These packages will be £250 each. If you are interested please contact James on training@spinnakclub.co.uk to register your interest.
Icicle and Frostbite Race Series
Our 5 weekend Icicle Race Series starts this Sunday, with our Frostbite Series running February and March!
As in previous years please remember to enter these series you must do at least 1 duty in direct support of them! Currently we have several empty volunteer slots for these series and if we do not fill them we will have to consider cancelling some of the racing. Remember you get "average points" when on duty, so you will still get a score for the series!
