Memorial Race and Fish and Chips!

Poulner Junior School

After the success of all pupils at Poulner Junior School being offered a sailing taster in April/May we were very happy to welcome back 22 of their pupils last night for the first session of their RYA Youth Sailing Stage 1 Course! They couldn't have picked a better start date with gentle winds and warm weather!

Warm Weather is Back!

Warm weather has well and truly arrived with temperatures today likely to hit 30 degrees! Hot weather is often more difficult to stay safe in than cold weather, as it isn't as simple as a thicker wetsuit and more clothes! Here are our top tips to stay safe in this hot weather:

• Bring a refillable water bottle and take it on the water with you. (Remember all our taps provide drinking water including the one on the big shed).
• Wear lots of suncream, and keep re-applying it
• Wear a hat, and keep your shoulders covered

We know it's tempting, but please do not go swimming in the lake to cool off. Our lease explicitly prohibits "bathing in the lake," and it also puts yourself at risk from other water users who are sailing/paddling/driving around.

Summer Work Party - Saturday 24th June

Don't forget on Saturday 24th June we have our Summer Work Party from 10am to 3pm! Please come along, even if only for a couple of hours to help us keep the Club looks as good as it does! Free tea, coffee and biscuits will be available!

Parkstone Youth Week Is Open For Booking!

Parkstone Youth Week is one of the most popular events for our Optimist, Topper and Laser sailors every year, a week of sailing and fun including Water Wars, BBQs, a trip to Splashdown, crabbing and all the other fun or of when Spinnaker goes on tour!

Summer Training Courses

We still have some spaces available on our Summer Training Courses, including Monday to Friday sailing courses, and weekend sailing and powerboating courses. You can view our programme on the website calendar.
