Memorial Race - Wednesday 15th June
Don't forget tomorrow is the Memorial Race, followed by Fish and Chips! For more information and for a link to book your food please click the link below! A number of our youth sailors will be racing and we are looking forward to a great evening with fantastic warm weather forecast!
British Youth Sailing Regional Junior Championships
This weekend sees 15 of our junior sailors heading off to the South and South West Regional Junior Championships at Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy! Thanks to generous funding from the Youth Development Fund a van has been hired to transport a number of boats for our junior members who otherwise couldn't take part!
We have Topper sailors competing in the Championship and Regatta Fleets, Optimist sailors in the regatta fleet (including sailors as young as 9) and 4 sailors in the Onboard Fleet who will have a weekend of fun and games supported by instructors including our very own James and Justin!
Good luck Team Spinnaker!
How To Stay Up To Date
As well as our weekly newsletter we send to all members there are a number of other ways to stay up to date with what is going on at the club! Every other Friday we have a racing specific newsletter sent out by email, if you would like to be assed to this please email training@spinnakerclub.co.uk. There are also Spinnaker Youth Training, Laser, Topper and Solo Whatsapp groups to help those sailors stay in touch, please speak to Emma Barker, Keith McQuillin, Nick Smith or Nick Robinson to be added to the appropriate group! Finally we also have our social media pages, links to which are below!

Youth Team Racing Opportunities
Last year four of our sailors entered the Eric Twiname Junior Team Racing Championships, while 6 competed at the BSDRA Southerns in April this year! We are hoping to enter a team or two to the Eric Twiname Championship again this year, but with more of a chance to train and practice before hand!
Look out for news soon for some opportunities to try team racing with some of our adult team racers and about some youth specific training in the lead up to the ET Championships!
Club Night Is Back
Friday Night Club Nights have restarted! While we have warm sunny evenings for the next few months club boats, kayaks and padleboards are available to hire until 8.30pm, with one of the club's senior instructors on hand to help our members get afloat! Alistair is on duty this week so come on down and enjoy the weather. Boats, kayaks and paddleboards can be booked via the club website.
