Club Racing This Sunday!

This Sunday (12th February) sees the start of our Frostbite Race Series! This handicap series is made up of 6 races across 3 weekends, with your best 4 scores to count!

As the lake is a little busy this weekend the first two races of this series will definitely be run from a committee boat, so come on down and join in!

Team Racing Events!

Last weekend Portsmouth University Sailing Club ran the South Central Qualifiers of the 2023 BUSA/BCUS Team Racing Championship! After a challenging start to the weekend with no racing on Saturday due to an absence of wind the team managed to run 85 races on the Sunday! An impressive achievement with only 3 flights of boats running.

This coming weekend we are hosting the UK Leg of the Ride'r Cup, a British vs Irish university sailing challenge!

We have several upcoming events and activities we wish to highlight to our members!

RYA Dinghy & Watersports Show 25th/26th February:
A number of members are visiting on the Saturday and Sunday, including many of our youth members and their families on the Sunday (who are meeting up at 2pm at the bar/cafe area)

Pre-Season New Members Welcome and Introduction to Wednesday Racing 5th April:
Our annual Wednesday evening get together to welcome new members to the Club, give them an opportunity to meet the Committee and explain to everyone how our racing and training programme will run for the year. As in 2022 we will be having fish and chips, and the bar will be open!

Club Boat Booking System

We are very happy to let all our members know that the online booking system for hiring club boats is working again! Please accept our apologies for the recent inconvenience.

Club Office Manning

Please remember our club office is not always manned! Our staff team do many different tasks around the club including administration, maintenance, teaching and cleaning!

If you need to contact a member of staff please email or telephone and leave a message if we do not answer, we will get back to you as soon as we can.

2023 Boat Parking Permits

This week we will; be applying boat parking permits to those boats who have renewed their berths for 2023! This year's stickers are a fantastic shade of purple!
