Wednesday Evening Welcome to New Members and Pre-Season Information Evening
This Wednesday is our Pre-Season Information and Welcome to New Members Evening! This is a great opportunity for all our members to come together just as the main sailing season starts.
The bar will be open from 6.15pm, fish and chips will be delivered at 6.30pm and then our Sailing Committee will be letting you know how to get involved this year, how to make the most of your membership and about a few small changes from last year!
Pre-order your food here by noon on Wednesday.
Galley Refurbishment Update
We are expecting our contractors to being work on our existing galley/bar areas on Tuesday 9th April as part of our programme of improvements. During this work there will be some disruption/additional noise in the club house but we do not expect it to result in any members being unable to use the club house facilities. The coffee machine will remain available throughout this period of works.
Team Racing - Your Chance to Try It Out
Following on from the great fun the Spinnaker Sloths had at the RYA/BUSA Women's Championships we have planned for some more regular team racing practice for our adult members! These sessions will run on a Sunday morning once a month, while Spinnaker Youth Training is running from 10am to 12noon. These sessions will be self-run by the sailors with a focus on trying out team racing and having fun. The dates we have planned so far are:
21st April
19th May
16th June
14th July
To keep in touch with the rest of the team racers why not join the Whatsapp group, speak to James or Emma to be added.
Spinnaker Youth Training Returns
Spinnaker Youth Training (SYT) is restarting for 2024 on Sunday 14th April. We have a great programme planned, and the last few spaces are still available, we advise booking soon!
A separate email will be sent to all SYT sailors next week with more information about the training programmes.
