March Work Party
We are holding our annual Spring Work Party on Saturday 2nd March. This is a day when we ask all members to give a few hours of their time to help us tidy up the club site after the winter and get it ready for the summer sailing season! We have a range of tasks we wish to complete ranging from weeding to hedge cutting to pressure washing to litter picking.
To thank those members who give up their time on this day we will be providing tea/coffee and lunch! To help us cater we will be asking that all food is pre-ordered, look out for an email on Monday with a link to order your food.
RYA Dinghy & Watersports Show
This weekend it is the RYA Dinghy & Watersports Show at Farnborough Exhibition Centre! This is a great chance to see a wide variety of boats and equipment, hear from expert speakers and catch up with old friends! For many of our youth sailors the most important thing is how many freebies they can get.
You can see more information, and book your tickets here.
From Wednesday 21st to Friday 23rd we will have contractors working in our North Car Park installing new railings and bollards. Please be aware heavy machinery will be used during this work.
To make this work go as smoothly as possible we ask members and users to park in either the South Carpark or the middle of the North Carpark while this work is carried out.
Congratulations to Sophia!
Last week our Apprentice Instructor Sophia passed her RYA Dinghy instructor Course! This is a major milestone in her development as a professional instructor, and is the result of her hard work over the last few months. Over the next two months Sophia will be consolidating her new skills, as well as working towards her British Canoeing Paddlesport Instructor qualification.
Easter Holiday Training Courses
We have a range of 2 and 5 day training courses available over the Easter holidays including Youth Stage 1 & 2 Sailing, Youth Stage 1 Windsurfing, Youth Stage 3 & 4 Sailing and our brand new Youth Development Week looking at developing the skills of our more experienced youth sailors. For more information please email training@spinnakerclub.co.uk or you can see all the dates and book via our website calendar.
