Boat Park Stickers

Our 2024 Boat Berth Stickers have arrived in a great shade of blue! With our early renewal discounts ending tomorrow (Wednesday 31st January) we will next week be applying stickers to all craft who have renewed their berth. Stickers will be applied either on the transom for boats stored with masts down (such as ILCAs, Optimists and Toppers) or on the front of the mast just above the gooseneck on boats stored with masts up (such as Solos, Fireflys and GP14s).

Don't forget membership and boat berthing fees go up tomorrow so renew today to get the best price!

Youth Racing Success

This weekend club member Matthew E was competing at the Nacra 15 Winter Championships at Weston Sailing Club (Southampton) with his helm Marcus! After two days of tough competition Marcus and Matthew came out winning 6 pout of 10 races, and taking 1st place overall.

Well done both of you!

You can read more about the event on Yachts & Yachting here.

March Work Party

We are holding our annual Spring Work Party on Saturday 2nd March. This is a day when we ask all members to give a few hours of their time to help us tidy up the club site after the winter and get it ready for the summer sailing season! We have a range of tasks we wish to complete ranging from weeding to hedge cutting to pressure washing to litter picking.

If you cannot make it on the day we will miss you, but understand many of us lead busy lives. On Monday 5th February we will be having a skip delivered to the club grounds and placed near the BBQs. If you cannot make it on 2nd March, but will be at the club in February could we please ask you take a few minutes to clear any rubbish from around your boat and put it in the skip. This way we avoid throwing away any spars/boat stands left under your boat by accident.

Wessex Winter Warmer

At our lake this weekend it was the Wessex Winter Warmer hosted by the University of Southampton Sailing Club, with 120 competitors taking to the water for 2 days of non-stop team racing! You can see the results here.

This coming weekend we welcome the British Universities Sailing Association Southern Qualifiers hosted by the University of Portsmouth Sailing Club for more team racing action!
