School Group Are Back
It was fantastic to welcome 12 sailors from Durleston Court School for their first sailing sessions with us! Durleston Court have sailed as a school for a number of years but have moved venue to us for 2023!
We will be working with their Sports Department to offer a range of sessions such as tasters, RYA Certificated Training Courses, and race training for events such as the Independent Association of Preparatory Schools Regatta!
RYA Dinghy & Watersports Show
Don't forget this weekend is the RYA Dinghy & Watersports Show! Running on Saturday and Sunday this is a great opportunity to see all the latest equipment, listen to some great talks, and see what is going on with your favourite classes! We know members are visiting on both Saturday and Sunday, with a number of the families who take part in Spinnaker Youth Training meeting up on Sunday at 2pm for a coffee!

Spring Work Party - Saturday 18th March
As a member's club with only a small team of staff we rely on the support of our members to keep the club such a great place to be! One of the ways we ask our member's to support your club is by taking part in occasional work parties.
Our Spring Work Party will be on Saturday 18th March this year. Our focus will be on making sure the boat park and facilities are ready for a great summer season of sailing, kayaking, paddleboarding and windsurfing!
Any and all help is greatly appreciated, look out for further details soon!
Dinghy Road Trailers
Can we please remind all members that any dinghy road trailers for your craft must be stored within your allocated space, and must not be left "tucked away" along fences, or in alternative spots. A number of trailers have appeared over the last few months at the south end of our boat park. Can we please ask that all of these are moved either underneath your dinghy in it's berth of offsite no later than Sunday 12th March 2023.
BUSA Team Racing Playoffs
On Saturday 4th, and Sunday 5th March 2023 we are hosting the BUSA Team Racing Championship Playoffs, organised by Southampton University Sailing Club. We are expecting two busy days of racing with 120 sailors competing, and more involved in the organising and delivery of this event.
Due to the scale of this event there is no Club Racing programmed for Sunday 5th March, and there will be no access permitted to the lake for recreational activity on either day.
Site Improvements
Our North Car Park, and driveway, were levelled last week, removing the large potholes which had developed over the last few years.
To help maintain the surface, and ensure everyone's safety, can we please remind all members and users of Spinnaker Sailing Club of the 5 mph speed limit throughout the site, once you exit Ivy Lane.
Over the next few weeks all our fixed yellow marks will also be replaced with new buoys and ground anchors, while on 1st March our pontoons are having their anchors and chains replaced as well!
