BUSA Team Racing Championships 2025
We are very excited to be hosting the British Universities Sailing Association Team Racing Championships on 8th, 9th and 10th April! This is a great event, with some fantastic sailors, but to make it happen we need some help!
To find out more check out this page on our website.
Clubhouse Decorating
This week our male changing rooms are being re-decorated, and if Rich our fantastic decorator carries on the way he is going our disabled facilities will also get a fresh coat of paint this week!
Icicle 1-Day Series This Sunday
We have our second 1-Day Icicle Series this Sunday! With Peter at the helm as Race Officer, and Salisbury Sea Cadet once again kindly providing safety cover it is lining up to be a great day of racing! For full details of our racing programme and find out how to take part look here.
Social Sailing
It was brilliant to see 6 boats out for Social Sailing last week, can we get even more out on the water this week? Social sailing runs every Thursday from 10.30 to 12.30!
Understanding the Racing Rules of Sailing
Following the success of our "Update to the Racing Rules of Sailing" session we have had several requests for another evening where we will dive into the depths of the basic rules a little bit more.
Our Rear Commodore Sailing Robert has kindly volunteered to lead this session on Wednesday 12th March at 7pm when we will look at the basic rules within Part 2 for "When Boats Meet." This session is aimed at those new to racing through to regular club racers who would like a little bit more clarity on what the rules are, how they work, and how to avoid getting into sticky situations.
Learn to Sail This Spring!
We have several opportunities coming up to learn to sail this Spring including a 6-week series of sessions on Thursday mornings, and an RYA Level 1 Course on 10th/11th March.
