Prime Minister's Statement 22nd February - Lockdown Exit

Many of our members will have listened this afternoon to the Prime Minister as he makes a statement to the House of Commons on the roadmap out of the current lockdown.

For us as sailors, and others who take part in outdoor sports, it is fantastic to hear that outdoor activities are being prioritised for re-opening.

This news is encouraging, but we must wait for written guidance to confirm exactly how we resume activity and when. For the moment the club will remain closed to all members. The Sailing Committee is meeting this evening to begin discussing how we can resume activity, and discussion amongst the Main Committee will continue this week.

We will bring you further news, updates and a plan as they develop and are confirmed.
