January Icicle Series
Well done to everyone who braved the sailing on Sunday for three races, including the sailors from Salisbury Sea Cadets. The results can be seen here.
Clubhouse Decorating
Last week our female changing rooms had a freshen up with some new paint! A big thank you to Rich Riley who did a great job, and is coming back in February to carry on the great work by re-decorating our male changing rooms.
BUSA Team Racing Finals 2025
We are very proud to be hosting the British Universities Sailing Association Team Racing Finals on 8th/9th/10th April this year! This event will see 28 teams (a total of 168 sailors) battling it out across 3 days for the championship title. We have some fantastic visiting race officials lined up to help us deliver this event. However, we still need some help from club members, no experience is necessary as the event management team will ensure everyone is briefed each day. This is a great opportunity to see some awesome racing including some of the top sailors in the country. If you would like any more details please speak to James (training@spinnakerlub.co.uk).
Planned Powercut
Please be aware we are expecting to have no mains electrical supply to the club on Tuesday 21st January due to maintenance on the network. This will result in virtually no disruption (apart from the changing rooms being slightly darker) to anyone who wishes to head out on the water, but the office will be unmanned for the day.
RYA Dinghy Instructor Training
We have an RYA Dinghy Instructor course running during February Half Term, and there are still a few spaces left. As well as the main instructor course we have the pre-requisite first aid, powerboat and sailing assessments running throughout January and February.
