Youth Sailing - The Next 6 Weeks

There's an action packed 6 weeks coming up with lots going on for our youth sailors to get involved in!

This coming Sunday sees SYT Block 2 start, as well as the next series of racing, where we will be encouraging all our youth sailors to take part in the pursuit race. Then on 18th/19th June it is the British Youth Sailing Regional Junior Championships at Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy!

An email with more details on youth activities this half term will be sent to all parents tomorrow.

Memorial Race - Wednesday 15th June

Don't forget the Memorial Race is on 15th June this year in aid of Macmillan Caring Locally. After racing we will be having fish and chips, collected and delivered to the club for 8.30pm! The Memorial Race is a one-off personal handicap pursuit race, and we hope to see as many members as possible taking part.

Mini-Work Party

With all the warm weather we have had recently the undergrowth is starting to creep back! To help neaten up the club grounds we will be having a mini-work part on the morning of Tuesday 14th June. Any and all help to tackle some of the undergrowth around the race hut, and south end of the boat park will be most appreciated!

Wearing of Buoyancy Aids

Can we please remind all members that it is a condition of our lease agreement with Wessex Water that buoyancy aids are worn when we are afloat on any craft including powerboats, dinghies, kayaks, paddleboards and windsurfers.

Tuesday Evening Improvers

Our popular Tuesday Evening Adult Improvers group starts again next week, You can book on at the link below, this is an ideal opportunity for adults who are at approximately RYA Level 2 to head out on the water with one of our instructors for some coaching and support.

Let's Go Sailing Thursdays!

Don't forget our new Let's Go Sailing Programme kicks off this Thursday morning! Whether you are joining one of our instructor led groups (including women only beginner and improver groups) or just having a social sail it would be great to see as many members as possible.
