Are you ready for the summer? We can't wait for the warmer weather and more activity at the club! A big theme for the club in the next couple of weeks is getting ready for the restart of a lot of our regular activity as we enter April, more details are below!

Work Party - 12th March

Thank you to everyone who has let us know they can help at our Work Party this Saturday, and who have informed the office of the combinations to their boat locks.

Everyone should have received an email from the Club last Friday with a few more details about the day, and an offer of a free pasty! If you haven't received the email please let us know and we will resend it. If you are planning on coming please do let us know, as well as whether you would like a pasty!

New Sails

We are very excited to be expecting delivery today of new sails for our Toppers, and Stratos. All 6 of our Club Toppers are being treated with new sails, along with some new control lines to make them easier to use and rig. Our well used Stratos Keelboat is being treated to a new jib!

Along with rigging up the Club Toppers next week we will be giving everything a good clean, and doing some final repairs ready for the Club's Training Programme to really kick off in April!

Save the Date - Wednesday 6th April

The Club's Sailing Committee, who are the masterminds behind our racing and activity programmes, are very happy to invite all members along to our Wednesday Evening Pre-Race Meeting! This evening is a great chance for us all to get together just as the Summer starts, hear updates from the Sailing Committee about the programme for 2022, along with a few of the tweaks we have made to our activities to make them even more welcoming and accessible than they were last year!

Whether you are a new member, or have been a part of Spinnaker Sailing Club for many years this is a great opportunity to get to know other members. A number of Main Committee Members will also be present and they are always willing to answer any questions you may have.

Come and join us from 7.30pm, and the bar will be open!

New Members

The Club is about to begin it's annual drive to recruit new members and encourage the growth of our Club!

Look out for more details in the next couple of weeks about our two planned Open Days, as well as more information about how all our memberships work. If you know someone who might be interested in joining the Club please do share the news we are fully open and welcoming new members with a variety of options to suit everyone!

Training Opportunities

The Club has an exciting programme of training lined up for 2022! We have Spinnaker Youth Training, Tuesday Evening Improvers, RYA Sailing Courses, RYA Powerboat Courses and other exciting opportunities such as Youth Introduction to Team Racing and from late May our Friday evening Club Nights will restart!

All our RYA Training Courses, and the first block of Spinnaker Youth Training can now be booked via the Club Website! Don't forget our RYA Powerboat Training is available at heavily subsidised (and sometimes even free) price for our members who commit to supporting the Club with safety boat duties!
