Boat Park spruce-up

Whilst the Lockdown and closure of the sailing club has meant no sailing taking place over the warm Easter period, it has at least allowed much work to be done at the Club to prepare us for when we re-start sailing.

  1. The barrier for securing Optimists to by the car park has been competed, and the berth numbers attached.
  2. The marking out of the dinghy bays at the North End of the Boat Park has begun, with the Team Racing Fleets and the Solos being the first to receive marked out berths and their new Berth Numbers.
  3. The club Qubas, Visions, Fevas, Fireflys, Toppers and Optimists are ready for use for reopen

The marking of berths for the larger double handers will happen once the current social distancing rules are relaxed, and a work party can be organised to do the heavy shifting, and reinstate the missing chains to secure boats.

A huge amount of work has gone on behind the scenes, and a special thanks must be given to Phil Tinsley for his hard work in identifying boats and owners, and creating the new boat park plan pre-lockdown and James for implementing.
