Winter Wednesday Talk 15th December - Now on Zoom

Due to the currently evolving and uncertain situation the decision has been taken to host our next Winter Wednesday Talk with Nick Craig on Zoom, rather than as an in person event at the clubhouse.

We hope this will mean all our members feel they can safely and comfortably attend this event, a Zoom link will be shared with all members next week.

AGM 2021

Thank you to everyone who attended the AGM on Sunday afternoon. We hope you found it a positive and informative event. We are currently finalising the Minutes and aim to have these shared by the end of the week.

If you were not able to attend the meeting you can view the Annual Accounts, Director's Reports and Notice of AGM on the club website at the link below.

2021 Prize Giving and Dedication of Noble Spirit

Our 2021 prizegiving will be a physical event at the Club following racing on Sunday 12th December. We hope as many members as possible will come along to celebrate the success' of our sailors this year, with prizes being awarded to sailors from 8 to adult!

We can also confirm that John Noble (one of our longest members who over the years has been a Trustee of the Club, lead our training programme, fixed the boats of other members while also being a regular sailor himself) will be attending the club on Sunday 12th December the official dedication, naming and launch of our "new to us" Club Solo! "Noble Spirit" as the new boat has been named was recently purchased by the club and refurbished by a number of Solo sailors to help members try out this popular class. This is a great opportunity for the club to show it's appreciation to John for everything he has done over the years, and we encourage everyone to come along.

We plan to having the dedication at 12.45 after racing on the pontoons by the clubhouse, with prizegiving afterwards, with the bar open for refreshments!

Christmas Holidays!

As we are all aware Christmas is rapidly approaching. During the school holiday period our staff team will be taking some time off to be with their families and have a rest. During this period regular checks will be made on the club to ensure everything is remaining safe and secure, however the office will be unmanned from Monday 20th December 2021 until 9am on Tuesday 4th January 2022.

Due to the reduced staffing during the above dates there will be no club equipment available to hire with the exception of sailing dinghies for the New Years Day Race.

2022 Duties

We have now opened up the Duty Roster to accept volunteers for the 2022 season! Please remember without volunteers we cannot run our programme of racing and family fun events!

We are also still looking for a safety boat team for the New Year's Day Race, if you are willing (and will be in a fit state after the night before) please put your name down on the website!
