Wednesday 5th April - Welcome to New Members and Pre-Season Race Meeting!

Yesterday all members should have received an email about the social event on Wednesday 5th April which is our Welcome to New Members and Pre-Season Race Meeting. You can see the email, and book your fish and chips here. Fish and Chips must be booked by 12.00 on Wednesday 5th April.

We hope to see you there!

Club Branded Polo Shirts

After many requests from members we have decided to sell cotton polo shirts with the Club's logo and name embroidered on the left breast. These shirts will be 100% cotton and available in women's cut as well as men's.

They are similar to the polos worn by James and his staff but in sky blue rather than navy to avoid confusion.

If you are interested in acquiring one they can be viewed and purchased on the Shop section of the website. Orders must be placed by Monday 17th April. We will then order an initial batch for collection from the Club as a trial.

We are hoping to introduce some hoodies for children soon.

If there is enough interest we intend to expand the range in the future, as well as provide future opportunities to purchase polo shirts.

Spinnaker Youth Training

There is less than 2 weeks to go until Spinnaker Youth Training restarts for 2023!

We have a range of groups available for our youth sailors to take part in including an RYA Stage 1 course, Improvers (for those who have the approximate skill of RYA Stage 2) and Begin to Race (for those who want to start racing).

You can book onto the sessions, and boat hire if required, on this page of our website.

New Apprenticeship Opportunity!

We are very excited to be offering an Apprentice Instructor role at Spinnaker Sailing Club from September 2023!

This is a fully funded opportunity, leading to a Level 3 Outdoor Activity Instructor Qualification, as well as RYA Dinghy Instructor and British Canoeing Paddlesport Instructor. This is a 13-month long role and a great opportunity for someone looking to get into the watersports and sailing industry.

For further details please see the Channel Training Website or speak to James at the Club.

Easter Sunday Funday!

Don't forget it's our Easter Sunday Funday this week!

We have an Easter Egg Hunt, a fun parent and child dinghy race and dinghy sprint racing planned for a fun filled day with lots of prizes (meaning chocolate)!

The Easter Egg Hunt will run from 10.00 to 12.00 (and weather permitting will be on the water), at 12.00 we will have a quick fun parent and child race, before the briefing at 13.30 for Sprint Racing to start at 14.00!

The parent and child race must be done in a double handed dinghy, with the child helming! There will be free use of Club Double Handed Dinghies all day to help our families get afloat together! As well as free use of the kayaks and paddleboards for the Easter Egg Hunt.

You don't need to book for any of the activities so come along and join in!
