It's a Busy Week!
This week is possibly our busiest of the summer holidays! We have 19 members taking part in RYA Training courses, taster sessions in windsurfing, sailing and kayaking running for local youth organisations, New Forest Sailability will be out sailing on Tuesday and Friday, and of course there is racing on Wednesday evening and Sunday afternoon!
With this great weather, why not come down and join in! We have Social Sailing running on Thursday from 11.30 to 12.30!
New Entry Codes
New gate and front door codes were emailed to all members yesterday! If you didn't receive them please speak to a member of club staff.
Spinnaker Youth Training
Don't forget Spinnaker Youth Training (SYT) restarts on Sunday 8th September! We have groups to cater to every level from beginner to racer. SYT runs in blocks of 6 weeks, with boats rigged and launched ready for a 9.30am brief, then landing and debriefed to be finished at 12.30pm.
You can see more details and book here.
Powerboat Skills Development
On Wednesday 4th September we are running a powerboat skills refresher day, this is an opportunity for members to come down and get some practice driving our club powerboats and make sure they are familiar with the operation of all our different craft! There is no need to book, and turn up for as little or as much time as you want.
Then we have an RYA Safety Boat Course running on the 5th and 6th of September! This course is a step up from the RYA Powerboat Level 2, and is required to take charge of a safetyboat at Spinnaker Sailing Club. This course costs members either £50, or if you commit to 3 x Safetyboat Driver Duties in the 12 months following your course it is free! You can book your place here now.
