Club Weekly News!
Published 12:44 on 7 Sep 2021
It seems very quiet at the club this week! With children returning to schools we have very few lessons this week, so we are carrying on with the tidying up! All that will change next week when most of our school groups return!
Once again a massive thankyou to everyone who came and helped with the work party on Saturday, we achieved a huge amount, and the club grounds are looking a lot better for it!
Can all members please remember to lock the car park gates if they are the last to leave the site. If you are not aware of the combination codes please contact the office who will let you have them.
Our Ladies Sailing group returns to the water this Thursday, with more sailors than we've had in recent months, with 14 signed up so far! With restrictions easing, we are also looking forward to restarting tea and biscuits after sailing!
We do have room for a few more sailors so if you haven't booked yet please get in touch with James at email@example.com.
Our final club night was last Friday, and it was great to see so many members enjoying the last bit of Friday evening sailing. We will be running Club Nights again in 2022.
Later this month we will be sending out our annual club survey. This will help the Sailing and Main Committee plan activities and improvements for the club as we move forward! We would encourage all members to give us your feedback so we can continue to work to make Spinnaker Sailing Club the best club possible.
Twisted Tube and Firefly Open
Our annual Firefly Weekend is now open for booking! On Saturday we have the Twisted Tube, a random pairs team racing event, and on the Sunday our Firefly Open. Club boats are available to hire for this event so come and join the fun! You can book the events at the links below.
