We Are Back Online!

After last week's internet issues we are very pleased that we are now re-connected to the internet! Due to a change in our broadband provider we do now have a new guest Wi-Fi, which requires a password to access. There are signs in the clubhouse and race hut with the details.

Paddle Away Day

It's not long until our paddle away day on Saturday 16th August! You can see more details, and hire a club paddleboard on our website here. We strongly recommend joining our Kayaking, Paddleboarding and Canoeing Whatsapp Group to communicate with others taking part and make more plans.

RYA Course Spaces

We have a number of upcoming RYA courses with a few spaces left. In particular we would like to highlight these great opportunities:
RYA Youth Seamanship Skills and Sailing with Spinnakers - 11th to 15th August

New National Champions!

A massive well done to Andy, Stan and Max Hewitt for their recent win at the Yachting World Day Boat National Championships in Cornwall! They join a long list of current and former champions who have won titles whilst at Spinnaker.

New Rigiflex

If you were at the club on Friday you would have seen a very excited James unwrapping our new Rigiflex. One of our very hard working and old (over 25 years in service) hulls had reached the point where it was no longer reliable and safe, and so needed replacement. The new hull is already in action.

5mph Speed Limit

Finally can we please remind all of our members and users of the hugely important 5 mph speed limit on our site. This limit is in force from the moment you leave the tarmac of Ivy Lane onto our driveways. Why is this limit so important?
- It protects everyone who is on site as we need to walk through the car parks regularly (including small children)
- Our driveway actually merges with a long distance footpath which is very heavily used by local residents
- It looks after the drive way and car park surface, helping avoid potholes forming
