Algae Update
Some good news! Over the weekend the amount of algae visibly present has decreased. For that reason we are very happy to announce that we expect all planned and organised activity to run this week. We will of course continue to monitor the situation with our priority being everyone's wellbeing and safety.
There continues to be algae in the water and so in addition to our usual advice around covering cuts and washing hands before eating and drinking we would discourage intentional capsizing etc at this time.
Boiler Servicing
Please be aware that our boiler is being serviced around lunch time on Saturday 18th October. Our boiler is located within the female changing rooms. To allow the engineer to carry out his work as quickly as possible could we please ask that the accessible toilet is used as an alternative facility whilst the work is taking place.
Extra RYA Safetyboat Course
We have added another RYA Safetyboat Course to our training programme, this one is slightly different to normal in that it is running across two Saturdays!
You can see more details and sign up here.
Firefly Weekend
Our annual Firefly Weekend is not far away on 1st and 2nd November. Saturday see's the Twisted Tube, an incredibly fun Random Pairs Team Racing Day, whilst Sunday is our Firefly Open Meeting, always a great day of close quarters racing.
Club boats are available to hire on both days so come and join the fun!
