New Model Yachting Session
Following our successful day time model yachting sessions we are delighted to announce we will be offering a Monday evening Model Yachting Session every week from Monday 13th April until September (when the evenings become a bit too dark).

2026 Spinnaker Youth Training
Spinnaker Youth Training returns for 2026 with the first block of 6 weeks starting on Sunday 12th April! We plan to run four groups in the first block:
RYA Beginners - Perfect for those who are taking their first steps and want to work towards RYA Stage 1 or 2 in the Youth Sailing Scheme.
Improvers - For those sailors who have an ability equal to RY Youth Stage 2 or 3 and want to consolidate their skills, have fun and get into the habit of siling regularly.
Begin to Race - If you want to learn the basics of racing so you can start joining in with Club Racing and have fun in the competitive side of sailing this group with give you the skills and knowledge to confidently give it a go.
Improver Racing - For those who have done a bit of racing before and are looking to start going to Open Meetings and Championships our coaches in this group will help you take your sailing to the next level.
Easter Holiday RYA Courses
The Easter School Holidays are only one week away! We still have a few spaces on our Youth RYA Sailing Courses, the dates and links to find out more information are below:
RYA Youth Stage 1 & 2: 6th - 10th April
RYA Youth Seamanship Skills and Sailing with Spinnakers: 6th - 10th April

Club Racing
April is here and the clocks have sprung forward so our racing programme is getting busier! Weekly Sunday racing kicked off with a blustery Alice Lisle Cup (see all the results here), and Wednesday Evening racing returns next week on 8th April! We rely on volunteers supporting our club racing, and a have a few vacant slots in April, so if you haven't volunteered yet please do so soon! Remember there is a staff member on hand for every club racing day to provide advice and support to our volunteer team so please ask them for help if you're not sure on the day!
ILCA Open
Our ILCA Open is on Saturday 18th April, just a few weeks away. If you are a regular ILCA sailor please get involved and enjoy a great day of racing. If you don't normally sail an ILCA we can help, with all three of our club boats available. You can see more details and enter here.
Please be aware the lake will be closed for general access on this day due to this event.
How to Stay In Touch
Don't forget a really good way to stay in touch with other members is our Whatsapp Community, there are different groups within the community for each of our main classes, as well as the SYT Parents Group and a Kayaking/Paddleboarding Group.
