Rock Up And Race
We are vey excited to be part of an RYA pilot project this year called "Rock Up and Race"! This is all about fun, friendly, easily accessible dinghy racing. Last Thursday we ran our first session as a bit of an experiment to learn how to make these sessions as fun and accessible as possible. We've had some great feedback and thoughts about how to develop these sessions going forwards, and can't wait for the next one on Wednesday 15th April!

Club Racing
As we rapidly head towards April (and the clocks changing) our racing programme is getting busier! From this weekend we have racing every Sunday, and then Wednesday Evening racing returns from 8th April! We rely on volunteers supporting our club racing, and a have a few vacant slots in April, so if you haven't volunteered yet please do so soon! Remember there is a staff member on hand for every club racing day to provide advice and support to our volunteer team so please ask them for help if you're not sure on the day!
This Sunday is the Alice Lisle Cup, with 3 x races from 11.15 - one pursuit race, followed by 2 x handicap races. To try something new this year we have made the Alice Lisle Cup an Open Event, so if you have friends from other clubs who want to come and race they can enter via our website here! If you are already a member there is no fee to enter, and no need to pre-register!
How to Stay In Touch
Don't forget a really good way to stay in touch with other members is our Whatsapp Community, there are different groups within the community for each of our main classes, as well as the SYT Parents Group and a Kayaking/Paddleboarding Group.
