Hello Everyone!

First of all, my apologies for not posting this sooner (and the only photo I could find for Hywel's post). As Hywel introduced me below I am James, the new Chief Instructor/Boatswain at the club.

Thank you to all those I have already spoken to, or even very briefly met before the lockdown for the warm welcome to the club.

A little bit about myself, I have now worked full time at various RYA Centres for around 11 years, both in the UK and overseas with a variety of organisations including Holiday Resorts, UK Commercial Centres, and for the last 6 year the Ministry of Defence/Cadet Forces. I am a Senior Dinghy Instructor, Windsurf Instructor, Powerboat Instructor and a Kayak/Canoe Coach, as well as being an RYA Centre Inspector.
It's a very quiet time for all of us, being unable to go sailing. However, I am taking full advantage of the situation with the support of the committee to get everything as ready as I can for when we can reopen and go sailing again.

Whilst you are unable to come and say hello in person please feel free to give me a call on the Club's telephone or send me an email training@spinnakerclub.co.uk if you have any questions or would like me to check on your boat, I'll help wherever I can.

I'm sure many of you like me are getting itchy feet, and missing sailing and the social side that it brings. To try and get a bit more interaction going I am planning on posting some short hints and tips videos on the Club's Facebook page over the coming weeks. So, if there are any questions you've got or skills you'd like some tips on please send me your suggestions and I will see what I can put together.
