New Items Behind The Bar

Following feedback from members we have added some new items to our bar offering! We are now stocking Heineken 0% Lager, San Miguel Lager and crisps (because who doesn't want a snack after sailing)!

Spinnaker Youth Training Block 2 Has Ended

Sunday saw the final session of SYT Block 2, and the start of our summer break! We finished off the session with a great number of sailors joining in with the pursuit race, before a BBQ amongst the families!

SYT Block 3 will be starting on 11th September, with booking open now! If you are looking for ways for your children to keep sailing through the summer holidays apart from our RYA training courses please read this page on our our website which has loads of information about what we have planned!

Volunteering Thursday

Don't forget this Thursday afternoon we have our first volunteering afternoon! This is an opportunity for members to come along and give a little bit of time to the club in a social way, with a cup of tea afterwards! Our Commodore Hywel and Neil from the office will be on hand from 1pm to say hello and help with the work.

Environmental Sustainability

Last week saw Empower Energy install our new solar panels on the club roof! This is a great way that as a club we are helping to reduce our impact on the environment, by using a renewable energy source, as well as helping reduce the club's running costs!

With the warm weather we are currently experienceing we all know how important it is to stay hydrated. Can we please ask that all members bring with them a refillable water bottle (there is a signposted drinking water tap on the sheds, as well as taps in the changing rooms). Please do not use the cups for the coffee machine for drinking water. Not only does using these disposable cups increase our environmental impact, but they also cost the club money!

Reduced Water Levels

With the recent warm weather and lack of rainfall you may have noticed the water level in the lake has dropped slightly. While this does not impact upon our impact to deliver any activities please be aware that around the powerboat pontoon it is slightly shallower, so please be mindful of the propellers when in this area.

Please also be aware that some drop offs and trip hazards are slightly more prominent on the slipways at the moment.
