ARO Duty Tomorrow
We are still short an Assistant Race Officer for Wednesday 23rd July! our Rear Commodore Sailing Robert is the Race Officer, so this is a great chance to learn a bit more about running racing!
Please remember without members volunteering we cannot run our race programme.
Trips Away This Summer
We are very excited to have two trips for club members this summer! As well as our Paddling Away Day from Wareham on 16th August we have a day sailing in Poole Harbour from Poole Yacht Club on 13th September!
Check out more details on our website.
Making Sailing More Accessible
We were delighted to welcome 8 visually impaired children and their families to the club on Saturday for a sailing taster day generously funded and supported by the RYA!
As part of the wider See Sailing Your Way programme this day was developed with the Dorset County Council Learning and Education Team to support some of the school children they support. The day was a fantastic success with lots of smiling children enjoying the experience of sailing for the first time!
Extra Adult Start Windsurfing Course
By popular demand we have added an extra adult Start Windsurfing course to our programme this summer running on Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd August. You can see more details and book here on our website.
Club Byelaws
We don't mean to moan, but... can we please once again remind everyone of the club Byelaws. In particular the ban on swimming in the lake and the importance of only landing within our boat park, and on no other shore line or island. Not only are these rules there to keep everyone safe but they are also covenants within our lease which we must abide by or risk serious consequences as a club.
