2023 Annual General Meeting and Winter Prizegiving
The Commodore and Committees of the Club were delighted to see so many members at the AGM yesterday. Many thanks to all who made the effort to attend, and hear the club is in such good health. All proposed resolutions (including the election of Officers and setting of 2024 fees passed) unanimously. For those of you who weren't able to attend all the reports are available to view in the members area of our website. The minutes of the meeting are being finalised and should be available to view in the next few days.
Following the AGM we had our Winter Prizegiving. Congratulations to all our winners, and a big thank you to John Driscoll for organising all the prizes. If you didn't pick up your trophy you can collect if from the office when you are next at the club.
2024 Membership Renewals
Details of 2024 Membership Renewals were emailed to all members yesterday. There is a discount available on fees if you renew by 31st January 2024, including if you pay in instalments by Direct Debit.

Winter Is Here!
We strongly encourage members to take a little bit of time to look after their boat as we enter this windier, colder, wetter time of the year. We had one member this weekend unfortunately discover a mouse nesting in their bailing sponge had eaten their kicking strap, so please do keep an eye on your boat. In particular can we please ask all members to ensure their boat is securely tied down to prevent it being moved by strong winds.
If you are unable to get to the club and are concerned about your boat please do get in touch with either the club staff or our Commodore and they will do their best to check on your boat.
Social Sailing
Don't forget Social Sailing runs every Thursday morning from 10.30! We would love to see you out on the water so come on down. On Thursday 21st December we will be having our final Social Sail of the year complete with drinks and snacks so come and join us!
Club Racing Update
Our final dinghy races of 2023 are on Sunday 10th December with races 9 & 10 of our Winter Series. You can see the current results here. We are urgently looking for an ARO to enable racing to run this Sunday. If you can help please sign up via the Duty Roster on our website.
Then we kick off 2024 with our New Years Day Race, which starts at 12.00, followed by refreshments served by the Commodore!
Club Staffing
Please remember that we are operating on reduced staffing at the moment due to the time of the year. Up to and including 21st December we have staff on site Monday to Thursday 9am to 5pm. With the exception of Monday 11th December, when our staff will be off for Christmas lunch at the Alice Lisle (our local pub) from 12.00.
